Susie told me a story the other day that made me grin ear to ear.
She had the grand kids with her and they stopped by the cemetery.
As they were cleaning the headstone and putting new flowers out,
Jacinda said: "I miss Papa Bob."
When they finished up with the flowers, Jacinda said:
"Should we sing a song?"
They sang: "God Bless America."
Little girl, you make me smile!
Can you imagine the pride on Papa Bob's face to know that he is remembered and missed?
And also, the smile on your Great-Grandma's face to know that even tho you've never met,
you've inherited her love of expressing yourself
thru the spontaneous singing of a song?
The circle of life is a
wondrously beautiful thing!
Yes, Jacinda, absolutely.
We should sing a song!
